A synthetic stone. Usually colorless, though with the addition of impurities, it can change its color to blue, pink, brown, green, and others. Cubic zirconia was created as a substitute for diamond – at first glance, it is difficult to distinguish the synthetic stone from the natural one. Additionally, compared to diamonds, the price of cubic zirconia is much lower, which only drives the jewelry market. The differences between diamond and cubic zirconia can only be noticed by a trained eye and detailed analysis. However, a disadvantage of cubic zirconia is that, unlike diamonds, over time it loses its luster and acquires numerous scratches.
