Turquoise

The name of the stone comes from the term "Turkish stone", as its trade route led through Turkey. Once called "kalait", which means "pretty stone" in Greek. Turquoise was already used in ancient times as a decorative stone, jewel, and talisman. The most desirable Turquoises are those in sky blue and blue colors. Throughout all ages, Turquoise has been a stone dedicated to warriors – hence the name "stone of victory" or "stone of the heavens" and a talisman of luck. The stone protects against negative vibrations, shields from bad luck and accidents. It ensures a clear mind and brings wisdom.
