Morganite

Morganite is a gemstone from the beryl group (which also includes emerald and aquamarine). Its delicate pink or peach hue is due to manganese and iron. It beautifully complements jewelry made of rose gold, which further emphasizes its subtle color. It was discovered in 1911 by banker and mineral collector J. P. Morgan in San Diego County, California, USA. Morganite scores 8 points on the Mohs hardness scale.
